Becca Ryszkowski
Freelance Photographer
I am a passionate photographer who was born and raised in Colorado with a keen eye for detail and a love for capturing authentic moments.
My journey in photography began from a young age. I loved taking pictures of everything. Being able to freeze memories in time through the lens of my camera has always been fascinating to me. It started with disposable cameras and later switched over to digital when I got a bit older. My high school had a pretty great darkroom photography program (in which I took all the offered classes). Learning the basics of the darkroom and film development inspired me continue my studies in college.
I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of Colorado Denver in 2020. My thesis project, Memento Mori, focuses on the fragile nature of life and inevitability of death which is depicted through my own personal near death experience. In Summer of 2019, I nearly died from a massive blood clot in my leg at the age of 23.
My favorite subject to photograph is landscape and nature. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful state! I love being able to capture nature’s beauty and sharing it with others. I have a shop where I sell both prints and greeting cards featuring my work!
When it comes to portraiture, cosplay would have to be my favorite.
There is so much passion that goes into cosplay; I love seeing all the hard work that goes into costumes and props as well as seeing characters come to life. As a cosplayer myself, getting photographed as a character from your favorite anime is one of the most amazing feelings and I’d love help others experience it!
